I. Introduction to Southeast University

Located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of six dynasties, Southeast University is an internationally renowned institution of education. The university is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly developed by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province. It is also one of China’s key universities supported by the national “Project 985” and “Project 211”. In 2017, Southeast University was selected into the list of Class A universities under the national World-Class University Construction initiative.

Southeast University is a comprehensive research-oriented university with engineering as its main strength. Its disciplines cover philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, medicine, management, art, history, and other fields. Twelve disciplines of the university have been selected into the national “Double First-Class” discipline construction list, and five disciplines received an A+ rating in the fourth round of national discipline evaluation, ranking eighth nationwide.

Southeast University enjoys a strong reputation for student cultivation. The university has always regarded student cultivation as the fundamental mission of education. II. Introduction to the School

With its leading academic standards, rigorous scholarly tradition, and strong research capabilities, the School of Automation is home to national key disciplines and first-level disciplines authorized to confer doctoral degrees. It enjoys a prestigious academic standing in China’s control science community and is a key unit supported under the national “Project 211” and “Project 985”.

The school has a first-level doctoral degree program and a postdoctoral research station in Control Science and Engineering. It has twice been selected for the “Double First-Class” construction list.The School consists of the Department of Automation and the Department of Robotics Engineering. It also includes the following disciplinary groups: Control Theory and Control Engineering, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems, Detection Technology and Automation Equipment, Navigation, Guidance and Control, and Systems Engineering.

Control Science and Engineering was selected in the first round of the national “Double First-Class” discipline construction list. The Automation program and Robotics Engineering program have been selected as national first-class undergraduate program construction sites.

Under the leadership of renowned automation and control experts, including Academician Qian Zhonghan and Academician Feng Chunbo, the School’s automation-related programs have long ranked among the top programs in China. The School has attracted a group of well-known domestic scholars, including National Outstanding Teachers and National Distinguished Teachers, and has built a first-class faculty team in China. The School currently has 116 faculty and staff,including 83 fulltime faculty members and 20 postdoctoral fellows. Among the fulltime faculty, there are 42 professors/research professors, 33 associate professors/associate research professors, and 8 lecturers/assistant research professors. The School hosts one Innovation Research Group supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and also has 7 nationallevel distinguished scholars, 17 nationallevel young distinguished scholars, 4 IEEE Fellows, 7 Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers, and 37 provincial and ministeriallevel distinguished scholars.

III. Basic Requirements for Recruitment

1. Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China and have enthusiasm for higher education;

2. Abide by laws and regulations, demonstrate integrity, and possess sound professional ethics and academic conduct;

3. Meet the physical requirements necessary for performing duties normally;

4. Hold a doctoral degree from a high-level university in China or abroad; meet the academic standards required for the corresponding position at Southeast University; and possess excellent abilities in teaching, research, and social service;

5. In general, applicants should be 35 years of age or under. Applicants with senior professional titles should be 50 years of age or under. The age limit may be relaxed appropriately for high-level talents.
